The Mid America Rugby Union wants rugby refs, and our club wants to help make that happen.

What do rugby refs do?

  • They officiate the matches that are played by a variety of levels of teams.
  • Usually on Saturdays, and often in the area.
  • You get paid (about 70 bucks per match) to be the most powerful person on the field.
  • After the match is over, you join the teams for food and drinks, and head home (you get paid for mileage to and from matches)

USA Rugby has courses and training available to those wanting to become an official, and we want to help you move into this position.

This is:

  •  A great chance to be involved in the game without necessarily playing for either side.
  • A great way to stay in shape (get in shape)
  • A great way to make some extra money for a few hours of your time on a Saturday.
  • A great way to meet new people or enjoy a new sport.

If you have any interest in becoming a rugby official, please contact us for more details.  Opportunities are quickly approaching.
