The '25 - '26 season is already here! There is a lot going on in the 417 rugby community. Let's get into it!

Saturday, August 23

The Queen City Chaos officially opened up their fall season on the road in Wichita. Unfortunately it wasn't the result they wanted falling 72 - 5 to the Valkyries. The great news is, most of the team was made up of rookies! This experience will help the Chaos add depth for future tests. They'll look to bounce back on September 13th in Columbia against the Black Sheep.


Saturday, August 30

Bryan Bevel and Drury University Men's Rugby kickoff their 15s season this Saturday at 1:00 PM against the Kansas Jayhawks RFC at the Springfield Rugby Pitch. Springfield Rugby will play a b-side match against KU at 3:00 PM to open their season. We'll have delicious 🍔🍻 concessions available. Bring a chair and bring a friend!

Saturday, September 6

Springfield RFC hits the road to compete in a nice tune-up 10s tournament in Springfield, Illinois. The Celts are in their second year hosting this tournament and we're happy to compete again. This year we kickoff at 10:35 AM and play 3 consecutive matches against the Mercenaries, Celts, and Rowdies.


Saturday, September 27

Queen City will host the St. Louis Sabres b-side for a 1:00 PM kickoff at the Springfield Rugby Pitch. This will be a great match to come watch. Springfield RFC travels to Lawrence, Kansas to open up divisional play against powerhouse KCRFC at the beautiful Westwick Rugby Complex. This will be a tough match and will set the tone for the rest of the season.


Saturday, October 4

Springfield RFC hosts KC Northland RFC for a 2:00 PM kickoff. Northland is new to our division and a club that is rebuilding with a ton of success. We'll look to defend our pitch and make a statement in front of the home crowd. Drury Men's Rugby will also play host to Iowa Central CC for an 11:00 AM kickoff. The Chaos are on the road against the Fayetteville Phoenix.



Saturday, October 11

Mark this one on the calendar as this will be a HUGE day for rugby in Springfield. We will have 3 matches against teams from Arkansas. It's the Show Me State vs The Natural State!

10:00 AM - University of Arkansas vs Drury Women

12:00 PM - Fayetteville Phoenix vs Queen City Chaos

2:00 PM - University of Arkansas B-side vs Springfield Rugby B-side


Saturday, October 18

The Columbia Outlaws travel to Springfield for a 2:00 PM kickoff. This will be a hard-hitting divisional match against a familiar rival and solid rugby side. Please come out and cheer us on as we defend our home patch!



Saturday, October 25

Springfield travels to Kansas City to take on the KC Blues for the final divisional battle of 2025! The Blues are a pillar of rugby in the midwest and are always a tough team to face no matter the location. We will need to travel strong in order to compete with these guys.


Saturday, November 8

The second annual Jimmy Stewart Cup will feature Springfield Rugby and the Queen City Chaos facing off against the Drury University men and women rugby clubs. This day commemorates our fallen rugby mates and celebrates our rugby family in the 417 area.
